Terms & Conditions
To ensure every bride receives a dedicated and immersive experience with our Founder & Designer, we kindly ask that you observe the following terms:
YOUR APPOINTMENT | Your 30 minute or 60 minute session is reserved exclusively for you. Because our Designer’s time at each show or bridal appointment is limited, we ask for your commitment to your chosen time slot to ensure the fluidity of our showcase or studio.
ARRIVAL | As these sessions are precisely timed, we recommend arriving at the MARCELA GIOCANTI stand 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment. Please note that if you are more than 10 minutes late, we may need to release the time slot to other waiting brides to maintain the event schedule.
CANCELLATION + RESCHEDULING | We understand that your plans may evolve. If you are unable to attend, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice via your confirmation email. This allows us to offer the window to another bride on our waiting list.
GUESTS | To maintain an intimate and focused atmosphere within the space, we recommend bringing no more than one or two trusted guests to your fitting.
PHOTOGRAPHY | We encourage you to capture your favorite MARCELA GIOCANTI moments for your own personal reference. However, to protect the exclusivity of our original designs and our brand's unique signature, we ask that these images are not shared with other bridal brands or stockists. We appreciate your support in keeping our creative work private and personal to your bridal journey.
BOOKING FEES ( if fee is charged) | Your booking fee is a professional retainer for the Designer’s time. While non-refundable, this amount is fully redeemable against the purchase of any MARCELA GIOCANTI gown within 3 months of the show or appointment date.
For any enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact our client specialists at info@marcelagiocanti.com. We are always pleased to assist you in selecting the perfect piece.

By placing an order for a Bespoke Gown with Marcela Giocanti ("the Designer," "we," "us"), whether through our website or at our studio, the Client ("you") agrees to the following terms.
The Bespoke Service
A Bespoke Gown is designed and constructed from an original pattern created specifically for the Client, based on a design consultation, measurements, and agreed specifications. No two bespoke commissions are identical, and minor variations from initial sketches or samples may occur as the design is realised in fabric.
Order Confirmation
An order is confirmed only once the deposit set out in Section 4 has been received and a design brief has been agreed in writing (including gown style, fabric, colour, and any embellishments). Verbal discussions during a consultation do not constitute a confirmed order.
Production Timeline
Standard production for a Bespoke Gown is 10–12 months from order confirmation to completion, reflecting the multi-stage bespoke process (design, pattern cutting, toile fitting, construction, and final fitting). Rush commissions may be considered at our discretion for an additional fee and are not guaranteed, particularly within 2 months of the event date or during June–August
Payment Terms
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the Total Fee is due at order confirmation.
The remaining balance is due at the final fitting, or no later than 15 days before shipping if fittings are waived.
The Client is responsible for all bank charges, transfer fees, and currency conversion costs. Payments must be received in full. Any shortfall must be settled within 7 days of notice, and we reserve the right to pause work until payment is received in full.
Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to attend all fittings punctually, wearing the correct undergarments and shoes, and to promptly notify us of any significant change in body shape, weight, or wedding date/venue. We cannot and do not accept responsibility for the effect of any such changes on the fit or timeline of the gown once production has begun.
Fittings & Alterations
The bespoke process includes an agreed number of fittings. Once the toile fitting is completed and approved, the design is finalised — further changes, fittings, or alterations may incur additional fees and affect the completion date. We will always confirm any fees and timeline changes with the Client before proceeding, and clear expectations of what's realistically achievable at that stage. External alterations after the final fitting are undertaken at the Client's own risk; we accept no liability for third-party alteration work, or for decisions made once the gown has been paid in full and collected or delivered.
Colour, Fabric & Material Variance
We cannot guarantee an exact colour match between fabric swatches (in studio or sent to the Client) and the final supplier dye lot. Swatches are indicative only, and minor variation should be expected across fabrics, laces, beading, and trims. We will make all reasonable efforts to match final materials to any sample approved by the Client, where supply allows.
Cancellation, Refunds & Force Majeure
The deposit is non-refundable once the design is approved and production has commenced.
- If cancellation occurs after the first fitting, or within 90 days of the event date, the Client remains liable for 100% of the Total Fee.
- If payment is not received within 15 days of the due date, we reserve the right to pause all work on the commission until payment is received.
- If an event is affected by force majeure (including but not limited to acts of God, extreme weather, war, civil unrest, natural disaster, strikes, pandemic, or governmental action), we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule. If rescheduling is not possible, neither party will have further obligation under these terms.
Delivery & Collection
Gowns may be collected in person from our studio by appointment, or shipped via a tracked courier at the Client's expense and risk. If a completed gown is not collected within 30 days of the event date (or an agreed collection date), we reserve the right to retain and, if necessary, dispose of the gown.
Intellectual Property & Media Release
We retain all design rights, sketches, patterns, and intellectual property relating to any Bespoke Gown. The Client may not copy, reproduce, or resell the design. Unless the Client notifies us otherwise in writing, images of the Client wearing the gown (including wedding photography shared with us) may be used by Marcela Giocanti for marketing, portfolio, and promotional purposes across our website and social channels, with credit given to the Client where appropriate. By agreeing to these terms, the Client grants us this right without further approval or compensation.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with any Bespoke Gown commission is limited to the Total Fee paid by the Client. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including but not limited to loss arising from delays, changes in the Client's body shape, or the actions of third-party alteration specialists or couriers.
Indemnity
The Client agrees to indemnify Marcela Giocanti, its staff, and contractors against any claim, loss, or damage arising from the Client's own negligence, misuse of the gown, or breach of these terms.
Governing Law & Disputes
The laws of England and Wales govern these Terms. Any dispute will first be referred to informal mediation; if unresolved, it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Each party bears its own costs unless a court orders otherwise.
Amendments
We may update these Terms from time to time; the version published on our website at the time of order confirmation applies to that order. Any bespoke amendment to an individual order must be agreed in writing by both parties.

For clients outside the United Kingdom, please note the following before placing an order:
Customs, duties & taxes. Shipments outside the UK may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees on arrival. These charges are set by the destination country and are not included in the price of your gown. The Client is responsible for paying any such charges directly to the courier or customs authority.
Delays beyond our control. Once a gown leaves our studio, delivery times may be affected by customs processing, courier delays, or local holidays in the destination country. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities or international couriers once the shipment has left the UK. Should a parcel be delayed or rerouted, we will stay in close contact with the courier and do everything we can on our end to help resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Shipping & travelling with your gown. Where possible, we recommend travelling with your gown by plane, and can advise on packing it for travel. For clients who prefer to have their gown shipped, international shipments are sent via a tracked courier.
Plan ahead. Given potential customs delays, we recommend building extra time into your schedule when ordering internationally, particularly close to your event date.
If you have questions about shipping to your country before placing an order, please contact us at info@marcelagiocanti.com
